One Small Shuffle
I’m only 30 years old, though I feel like I have the knowledge base of
Estelle Getty when it comes to navigating this world wide web of interconnected html addresses draped in code and ambiguity. Initially I felt pretty confident and triumphant after my first trip to the library in order to figure this whole blogging thing out.
I’m not ashamed to admit, my search first led me to “Blogging for Dummies”. I found the call number of the book on the library computer, then promptly realized I didn’t know what a call number was. After about an hour of wandering the bookshelves, intermingled with random trips to the bathroom, because let’s face it, there’s nothing like uncertainty to get the bowels moving, I asked a staff person where I could find said book about WordPress.
They pointed me in the right direction. Immediately I realized I would then need “WordPress for Dummies”, but I’m now I’m at a loss. I’m not really sure what the Dashboard does for me and I’ve tried to customize about three different themes on this platform.
Also, wtf is a plugin and am I important enough to need one.
Hopefully, in the coming days, I will figure out how to bring my thoughts to life and eventually explain why I’m in the closet. Wish me luck.
